UD Almería are halfway through intense training week

The squad worked on build-up plays from the back and attacking awareness. This Thursday, a new double training session has been scheduled and the first pre-season friendly is on the horizon

The Rojiblancos are halfway through an intense training week with the usual gym work-outs prior to tactical training on the Anexo Power Horse Stadium pitch. Some footballers still have to work on improving their physical fitness before this Thursday's two-a-day session and Friday's practice ahead of the first pre-season test that will be plated on Saturday against Granada CF.

As for this Wednesday's session, the team continued to develop and strengthen physical fitness for the season. Running and sprinting drills have been done to fill the petrol tank of some footballers who have also had tactical tasks. Yesterday, the team organised themselves defensively, while today they have worked on improving their build-up play from the back and attacking awareness.

Édgar has a temperature and therefore has been absent after training these last few days feeling queasy. César Montes and Marc Pubill will later rejoin the team, while Nico Melamed performed his first work-outs at the gym before meeting his new team-mates and the coaching staff.

This Thursday, the double training session on the Anexo pitch returns (9am and 6:30pm). On Friday, they players will have a morning football practice .
