UD Almería agree sponsorship deal with Power Horse

The Stadium will be renamed as of 1st July after the energy drinks brand. Salvatore Caizzone and Mohamed El Assy signed the agreement

Power Horse and UD Almería are proud to announce a long-term sponsorship deal whereby the energy drinks brand will invest in the Club in order to support its ambitious project to create a niche for themselves in the most important competitions in European football. The agreement was signed today by Managing Director and member of the Shareholders Committee of Power Horse Group Salvatore Caizzone and UD Almeria Managing Director and CEO Mohamed El Assy, in an event held at the Juegos Mediterraneos Stadium with the presence of Mayor of Almería Ramón Fernández-Pacheco, and the president of the Provincial Council, Javier Aureliano García, among other authorities.

Under its new management, UD Almería have the great dream of reaching the top flight of Spanish football and competing against the best. After participating in the play-offs for promotion to the LaLiga Santander in the last two seasons, UD Almeria are currently fighting to achieve automatic promotion to the top tier, where they would like to be alongside Power Horse.

The agreement with UD Almería provides a perfect symmetry within the expansion of the brand to the Spanish market.

UD Almeria Managing Director Mohamed El Assy underlined after signing the agreement ‘UD Almería are really proud to be able to count on the support of a company with the potential of Power Horse,’ and then added ‘this support is a responsibility and we do not want to disappoint them; quite the opposite, we want to go hand in hand to achieve great goals.’ Meanwhile, the UD Almería Managing Director, who thanked the Almeria authorities sincerely for their presence, stated ‘we want to continue growing together with our fans, institutions and our sponsors, such as Power Horse, whom we want to thank for this commitment and support so important for the Club.’

For his part, CEO and member of the Shareholders Committee of Power Horse Group Salvatore Caizzone commented the following:‘We’re really excited to support an emerging team that dreams big. The UD Almería’s Stadium will be renamed Power Horse Stadium ‘Estadio de los Juegos Mediterraneos’ as of 1st July 2022 so as to celebrate this sponsorship deal. This will be the venue where both Power Horse and UD Almería will project themselves as a great force.

The Mayor of Almería, Ramón Fernández-Pacheco, and the President of the Provincial Council, Javier Aureliano García, welcomed the agreement signed by UD Almería and Power Horse, as it will not only be positive for the Club but also for the city and the province.

Javier Aureliano García intervened in the event to state that this agreement ‘marks a milestone for the Club and the province of Almeria. 'Costa de Almería' will become more popular abroad as a tourist destination for millions of people. This deal also means hope and future. UD Almería have a history that has been forged long ago by each and every one of the members who have been part of the Club. Without their effort and sacrifice, we wouldn’t be who we are today. Mayor of Almería Ramón Fernández-Pacheco stressed: ‘the City Council would like to share today the enormous enthusiasm of UD Almería with their new sponsor, who will allow our city team to place a higher value on the global reach of sport. This is the dynamic of the main football clubs from across the world and it’s great news that our team is making this effort to meet the new demands of such a professional and demanding competition.’

The Mayor of Almeria then concluded before the event came to an end: ‘With this deal, UD Almería win, the new sponsoring company wins and above all, the city of Almería wins, which will soon have a state-of-the-art stadium, as befits the projection and the desire for growth of a Club that thrills us, with whom we fully identify and to whom we’ll now and always wish the best.’
