Two training sessions to prepare for match against CD Mirandés

UD Almería exercise at the Anexo, where they are training again this Saturday before travelling to Miranda de Ebro at 5pm (Spain Time)

UD Almeria are now the current LaLiga SmartBank leaders so the players are raring to play this Sunday’s game to keep up the good work. It is very tight at the top so Rubi’s side will have to obtain a positive result in Miranda de Ebro if they want two continue leading the pack. With this clear objective, the Rojiblancos have already started to prepare themselves to become tactically-strong players ahead of the next league fixture.

Rubi is looking to recover players from fatigue, knocks and injuries. Aitor Buñuel, Robertone and Ramazani went down with injuries in the past days and now Juan Villar will miss the next outing to the Spanish region of Castilla y Leon. The head coach only has two sessions to get his team ready for a tough-looking game. Playing at the Anduva Stadium is a tough one but on top of that, next rivals CD Mirandés are eager to react and get a victory on home turf again. In fact, they have not won at home since Matchday 4, when they beat UD Las Palmas 4-2. The Castilians are within the same distance (3 points) from the relegation zone and the play-offs.

Only those non-starters against Real Sociedad ‘B’ have trained at the Anexo training ground, whereas the players who were in action last Thursday performed an active recovery session on the Stadium's indoor warm-up zone. Juan Villar was in the medical room to receive physiotherapy treatment after requiring hospitalisation the day before following a shoulder dislocation.

This Saturday, the second and last behind-closed-doors footy practice will be conducted thinking about CD Mirandes. The UD Almeria travelling squad will be catching a charter flight bound to Vitoria at 5pm (Spain Time), where the Rojiblancos will stay overnight before having lunch on Sunday morning (10:30am). They will be heading out to Miranda de Ebro at noon.
