Turki Alalshikh thoroughly enjoys UD Almería’s resounding triumph
The UD Almeria President and owner was acclaimed by the almost 13,500 keen supporters who were buzzing at the Juegos Mediterraneos Stadium
UD Almería President Turki Alalshikh thoroughly enjoyed UD Almería's astounding victory over SD Amorebieta, which helped the Rojiblancos consolidate their hold onto the automatic promotion to the Spanish top flight. The owner of the Club followed the game from the Director’s box together with UD Almeria Managing Director Mohamed El Assy; Mayor of Almería Ramón Fernández-Pacheco; President of Provincial Council Javier Aureliano García and also the president of Unicaja volleyball, suffered a bit during the goalless first half (0-0) but after half-time, three goals were scored to the President's deep satisfaction.
The atmosphere was electric. The devoted, loyal UD Almeria fans, who were buzzing with excitement, remained tremendously grateful for the management of the Club's owner and his generous donation to fight the coronavirus pandemic. The home crowd chanted his name on several occasions and Turki Alalshikh from his seat in the authorities’ box greeted them in return. The Saudi Minister was in the limelight and the nearly 13,500 fans who packed the Stadium cheered him on over and over.
The Juegos Mediterraneos Stadium held a jubilant celebration, which commenced an hour and a half before the kick-off with the rousing welcome that the team were given upon arrival at the sports venue. The players, after their astounding victory on home turf, performed a lap of honor whilst their supporters sang their hearts out before the squad left the pitch straight down the tunnel with big smiles on their faces.
