Training for mental toughness in midweek session

UD Almería continue to ramp up pre-season preparations. The players really worked up a sweat on Wednesday

Mental toughness training is as important as physical fitness. Well, the menu for this midweek session prepared by the coaching staff headed by Rubi had the mental aspect as the main ingredient. The players accomplished a two-hour practice that was a tough slog indeed.

The UD Almería continue to ramp up pre-season preparations and this Wednesday morning, the players really worked up a sweat. From 9am to 11ish am there was no break at the Anexo Juegos Mediterraneos. Pre-activation exercises were completed prior to a two-hour ball-work training session. The coaching team set up a kind of gym on the fresh grass with circuit workouts to start with and then, the squad members performed several shooting drills as well as some exercises with the ball. All the footballers had heaps of fun through different challenges while they were working hard which was the main aim.

Centre-back Maraš has been working out on the sidelines after nursing his ankle injury. Left-winger Yanis stopped training half way through to be treated.

There will be no breather since there is another evening training session in order. The Rojiblancos will also have to put on their training wear on Thursday morning (9am).
