'Luis Suárez has been on the verge of not travelling,' he said. The coach asks for 'brotherhood' between different clubs' fans, especially being Andalusian

'We need to have our bag as full as possible in case bad times come,' replied UD Almería head coach Joan Francesc Ferrer Sicilia 'Rubi' when asked about his team's brilliant streak of results, which with the comprehensive victory over Córdoba CF extends the consecutive league fixtures without losing to 13. He made these statements during the post-match press conference. He was also questioned about the incidents that occurred between ultra groups of both clubs in the early stages of the encounter and he asked for 'brotherhood' between the fans, especially both being Andalusian. 'The world is already too messed up for us to be creating unnecessary situations. We must enjoy the games,' he stressed.

The Catalan valued his team's performance and the victory, especially when revealing: 'We've spent two days that I can't even tell you about... players with a temperature and gastroenteritis. Suárez was on the verge of not travelling and Marezi had to stay in the hotel. 'This is what happens these days, but we've solved it well and hopefully we'll recover players for the Spanish Cup round of 16 tie against CD Leganés.'

Regarding the way the match panned out, the Vilassar de Mar native indicated: 'It was an evenly-matched game until the sending-off, with a rocking atmosphere for the home team and with our travelling fans cheering. The red card has made it easier for us to finish the game a bit more relaxed.

'Playing a game as competitive as last week's Cup tie against Sevilla FC, allowed us to see that we were on the right track. The difficulty in the first half was obvious, with opponents that didn't create many chances, but they made it difficult for us. The team stands up during the game spells that aren't so good and then, we have a good shot on us so that the adversaries are going to suffer sooner or later.'

The Indálicos' head coach highlighted the return of Lucas Robertone after 3 months on the treatment table, the contribution of 'B' team player Quintanilla, who was a starter and the performance by Luis Suárez despite suffering from gastroenteritis... all of this within the high level offered by all those who participated in this new league meeting successfully completed.'
