‘Today we have taken a step forward as a team’

José María Gutiérrez highlighted the happiness of UD Almería because ‘we have played a brilliant game against cutthroat team Zaragoza.’ Soon after, he added: ‘This is not the end. We were not so bad a couple of days ago and we are not so good now. What we have to do is trying to be more consistent and going all out to win the next game.’ In addition, he expressed his opinion that he also saw a good version of his team in the last home game against 10th-placed Las Palmas, even though they did not manage to draw. 

The Rojiblanco head coach highlighted brilliant teamwork in the victory over the players’ individual performances. ‘Today we have taken a step forward as a team,’ he said. The former Real Madrid player also made statements about having returned to keeping a clean sheet. As he clearly explained, ‘every time a team are in the lead, they have more chances of winning.’ 

Despite the fact that the victory over runners-up Real Zaragoza brings Almeria closer to the automatic promotion spots, José María Gutiérrez stated that he prefers to focus on the next Thursday's home match against Alcorcón instead of looking exclusively at how LaLiga SmartBank table is shaping up.
