Mission: bounce back at Ipurúa
UD Almería are looking to put the ‘you play like you train’ mantra into practice at the Ipurúa stadium as they seek an immediate bounce-back against SD Eibar
UD Almería step up preparations at the training ground, sharpening the key aspects they will need to reproduce at the Ipurúa Stadium if they are to return to winning ways. The session was structured around several drills, with the opening phase focused on tactical work, including specific patterns in the final third as well as both defensive and attacking mechanisms.
As the session progressed, head coach Rubi placed the emphasis on intensity and agility in tight spaces, aiming to stimulate quicker decision-making and sharper ball circulation under pressure.
The Rojiblancos face a daunting challenge away from home, with SD Eibar having collected 21 of their 25 points at Ipurúa, a statistic that underlines the strength of their home form regardless of their current league position. That difficulty is further highlighted by the fact that the hosts have conceded just 9 goals on their own turf.
On the personnel front, Bonini, who had only partially trained the previous day, was close to full fitness and completed most of the session without issues. In addition, UD Almería ‘B’ goalkeeper Jesús and defender Pedro Fidel joined the first-team group.
Preparations for this crucial fixture will continue on Thursday, with another behind-closed-doors session scheduled for the Rojiblancos.
