Thursday’s training feature Jorge Cuenca, once dead rubber matches are over

The Spaniard Under-21 international trained as per usual with the Almeria squad

Jorge Cuenca, UD Almería centre-back, joined Thursday’s training session with UD Almería after being capped for international duty with Spain Under-21s. The Rojiblanco is a regular capped player who has been called up by the national coach one more time. With his national team already classified for the final phase of the European Championship, all of the players in the team roster got their minutes during the two dead rubber matches played in Marbella. Jorge Cuenca was lined up in one of those matches so that the 21-year-old player has got back into the fold in fine shape, what means that he is able to exercise as per usual.

Regarding Makaridze and Maraš, they are due to arrive in the next few hours from Georgia and Serbia, respectively. The goalkeeper played one of the three matches for his senior national team, whereas Maraš did not participate in any of those fixtures faced by the Serbs.

This week feels quite long and whilst waiting for the arrival of Maraš and Makaridze, Almería continue gearing up for next Monday’s encounter in Albacete. Crocked players Peybernes and João Carvalho remain a doubt on the sidelines.
