‘There is no better place than Huesca to change our dynamics’

José María Gutiérrez praises this Saturday’s opponents and considers that these 3 points are really important to remain at the top of the table and boost confidence

José María Gutiérrez, head coach of UD Almería, has held a pre-match conference to talk about Saturday's meeting against S.D. Huesca, a game that has been described as ‘very complicated for both teams.’ In this sense, he said that ‘Despite Huesca always play brilliantly on home turf, they will face a team that win many points as visitors. Almeria are coming from obtaining bad results in the last three games and want to change their dynamics so as to remain at the top of the table. There is no better place to play than Huesca, against a team who also want to lead the way in the top flight.’

The Almeria’s head coach considers that there is more than three points at stake. ‘Winning the next game means a lot to us regarding the standings and our self-confidence, considering that Huesca are so far the team with the best home advantage in the Second Division.’

The boss has recognised that it would be ideal if his side could ‘control the game defensively, and also offensively, deploying a game using quick passing and playing long balls.’ José María Gutiérrez declared that ‘the rough patch the side are going through lately usually happens to every team every season’, adding that ‘the important thing is to hold our heads high and have the ability to learn from the mistakes we made.’

The rojiblanco head coach recognises that ‘a high level of concentration is required for the next match’ because of the club’s ambitions and exciting goal. He also said that ‘the team have been occupying top positions from the very beginning, and it is normal to be demanding when we are running out of games. We have to keep calm and go step by step.’
