‘There are still thirteen finals left to achieve our goal and turn things around.’

Iván Martos highlights the side’s strength days before a game of major difficulty against current leaders Cádiz

Iván Martos, who is available again after serving a suspension, has given a press conference and said that ‘there are still thirteen finals left to achieve our goal and turn for sure things around.’ He also pointed out that ‘when things were working out, we wanted to keep calm. Right now, we also want to keep calm.’

The left-back has recognised that Cádiz ‘are going to make things really difficult’ at Ramón de Carranza, so we have to be aware at all times to anticipate that ‘details will definitely decide the final result of the clash.’ In this sense, the player has stated: ‘It is a match in which you can close the gap three points on the team that goes ahead, who are direct rivals. We know their potential and it will be a hard match.’

Making it clear that Almeria have no fear and do look for their ‘character to keep the game going’, Iván Martos has focused on the mental strength that characterises the team: ‘The team have that strength to believe in turning things around. We are pretty sure that everything will be seen from another perspective with a victory. We are determined to face the next games with confidence.’

The presence of Iván Martos in the press room occurred shortly after the fans sold out the tickets to move to Cádiz. The player has referred to it saying that “I have seen on the mobile that they are exhausted and it is a reason to compete to the fullest. I ask the fans to support us as when things were going better, that we are going to give everything in the field. ”
