The U-16 Almeria Women team are already winners with two games left in the season

Pedro López 's side ‘Segunda Andaluza de Almeria’ title task is now clear after another victory

The U-16 UD Almeria Women team are now champions in ‘Segunda Andaluza de Almeria’ after winning at home against ‘Pavia’ and not having lost any match throughout the entire season. There are still two matches to be played, but there is no other team in the competition who could even the youngsters score.

Their coach, Pedro López, valued their achievement: ‘It is a feeling of satisfaction knowing that things have been done properly. These two remaining matchdays will serve to further prepare the Andalusia phase and a tournament that we will play in Mijas (Málaga) in early May. Above all, we want to continue training hard. This is just the beginning.’

The team do not know yet what a defeat means. The girls did nothing but winning points, week after week. But this group, solid and unbeatable, have achieved much more than victories. The players never lost the motivation to continue fighting and saw each game as a new challenge to face. ‘It is really difficult to always find a motivation but, in the end, this team are incredible and they have learned to believe in themselves’, explained Pedro López.
