The squad resume training while waiting for new head coach’s arrival

Balliu, who continues to recover from muscle discomfort, is preparing for return to play. Ivanildo and Robertone will no feature due to suspension

The UD Almería first-team resumed training without the presence of their former head coach José Gomes, who has agreed with UD Almeria to terminate his contract this Tuesday morning. While waiting for the arrival of the new head coach, physical trainer Víctor Fortes and Ricardo Molina have conducted Tuesday’s training session.

It is the first working day of the week based on active recovery exercises for those players who played the most minutes at the Anduva Stadium last Sunday. The rest of the footballers exercised longer and more intensely with games on reduced-size pitches.

Iván Balliu, who was out of action in Miranda de Ebro following rectus abdominis discomfort, has already been working on his strength and specific activities in preparation for his return to play, but the right-back continues with his recovery process, as well as Ramazani, who had to stop training during the last week’s footy practice as the 20-year-old Belgian was sore.

UD Almería are now turning their attention to Saturday’s home fixture against Real Oviedo (kick-off 6.15 p.m. Spain Time). Ivanildo and Robertone will sit out the next game since both of them have to serve their respective one-game suspensions following accumulation of yellow cards.

The squad will be back in training at the Anexo training ground this Wednesday at 10 a.m. (CEST)
