The prospect of Almeria ‘B’ sitting 1 point off summit fills youngsters with fervent hope

The homegrown players visit Torreperogil, a team topping the fourth-tier group IX ‘A’ table

It is time to get the ball rolling again. The UD Almería second team return to the competition after the Christmas break and do so with the interesting possibility of sitting one point off the summit within group IX ‘A’ competing in fourth-tier Tercera Division, as long as they manage to defeat current table-toppers Torreperogil. The next rivals are four points above the Rojiblancos Academy prospects. The lads from Almeria face their all-important away game with kick-off time set for 5:00 p.m. on Sunday.

Fernando Santos, ‘Nandinho’, who will not submit the squad list until the moment before delivering the team pass cards to the ref, will have Brazilian Alyson Matheus available, since all the necessary paperwork related to his football visa has been finally sorted out in order to debut in Spain. On another note, goalie Wellington still cannot take part in the game.

Almería B's rivals are, as aforementioned, leading the pack within the subgroup in which the Academy boys compete. Moreover, the high-flying Jaén-based side have been defeated just once since the beginning of the season, having claimed five wins and three draws to their name.

The Indalicos homegrown players seize the ideal opportunity to place themselves in a VIP position one point off the summit to close out the first-round of the competition. The footie appointment will start at 5 p.m. CET on Sunday at the Abdón Fariñas football ground located in the Andalusian town of Torreperogil.
