‘The players have demonstrated that they’re committed to our Club’

José Gomes was overjoyed following the red and white 0-3 victory over Málaga CF. For this reason, the head coach highlighted: ‘The players have demonstrated that they’re absolutely committed to our Club and that, whatever happens, you will always see a group of players sticking together towards UD Almería’s goal.’

The Portuguese gaffer constantly underlined ‘the players have a strong team spirit,’ which led him to add ‘we must keep on that track’ ahead of Friday's clash against Rayo Vallecano. ‘Progress comes because we were all thinking in the same way. The team has been very solid, everyone was clear about what to do,’ he pointed out.

Looking ahead to the next Matchday, José Gomes acknowledged that the players’ post-game recovery will be ‘difficult because it’s the third meeting that will take place with a very short period of time between games.’ As a consequence, he expressed full confidence that the Almeria coaching team can manage to get the players ready in time, although the coach did not hesitate to stress that, if it is not possible, ‘we’ve got competent and highly prepared players to play at any time.’
