‘The last two victories have given us a great incentive’
José Corpas highlights the team’s improvement in the last days of the championship before the Mirandés’ visit
José Corpas has given a press conference and wanted to highlight the importance of the two consecutive wins that UD Almería has achieved in the SmartBank League. Basically, he commented that ‘we were doing a great job, but we did not manage to win and these last two victories have given us a great incentive to be able to beat Mirandés on the next game’.
The player believes that the team dynamics since Guti's arrival on the bench - two draws and two victories – are ‘good’, so he has shown the side’s desire to ‘continue being on a run’ in the next match of LaLiga SmartBank. ‘I think that we have been quite regular in the championship. It is true that we lost some matches but I think work was quite good nonetheless’, he added.
Focusing on Saturday's clash, Corpas believes that the UD Almeria will face a ‘very complicated’ game because Mirandés ‘are a very strong opponent’ which is also on a run with a series of matches without losing’. For this reason, the player has said that ‘they play many games within the same game. I think it is essential to have these small details tied so that they cannot hurt us and hopefully we can get the three points’.
