Sunday brings the second match of the week at the Heliodoro Rodríguez López Stadium. UD Almería take a breather before preparing for the next league fixture on the island
The league season has got underway with two matches in the same week for UD Almería. Following their impressive victory over CD Eldense on Monday, the Rojiblancos will play their second game of the campaign on Sunday in Tenerife, against a side that comes into the fixture after a 1-3 away win against SD Eibar.
Those who started against the team from Elda had a recovery session on Monday, while the rest of the squad completed a more intensive work-out on the Anexo grass. The team will have Wednesday off following an intense opening week of competition, before returning to training on Thursday.
The squad will train at the Stadium on Thursday, continuing their preparations at the training base on Friday and holding their final session at the main Stadium on Saturday. The Indálicos will then travel to Tenerife on Saturday afternoon.
Head coach Xavier García Pimienta will definitely be without striker Thalys, who will serve the second of the 4-match suspension imposed on him following his sending-off in the final game of last season.
