UD Almería head coach Xavier García Pimienta has analysed CE Sabadell FC ahead of Matchday 3, highlighting the key factors needed to get a positive result: 'The opponents know exactly how they want to play; they believe strongly in what they do, so we'll have to match their aggression and the 1v1 duels they create all over the pitch, but also display our football style.'

'If we don't have the desire to win duels and do what we did in the second half of the last game, more or less the same thing will happen. One good half isn't enough,' he told the media.

The Barcelona native head coach insisted that his team must improve after the previous match: 'If we don't match the opponents' level, it becomes very difficult. In Tenerife, we saw how we changed our approach in the second half, but we were already chasing the game because we didn't perform at our best in the first half. If we're the same in Sabadell, the same thing will happen.'

Pimienta also praised CE Sabadell FC describing them as 'a team with the hunger and excitement of a newly-promoted side, with a head coach and a methodology that have been established over several seasons. They're a team with a great desire to prove themselves.'

The UD Almería first-team boss also provided an update on the squad and Gui Guedes' recent injury: 'He'll be on the treatment table for a month and a half to a couple of months, which is normal for this type of meniscus injury. The market doesn't change at all because, even before his injury, we had already discussed that, if an opportunity came up, we'd strengthen the position. But never because of Gui's injury. I consider him an important player for the team and a high-level footballer.'

Arribas was also unavailable for the previous match and Pimienta explained his current situation: 'He's doing everything he can to be ready. Arribas has had to be injected a couple of times and is doing everything possible to try to play in this match. He's got a minor ankle problem that he's been carrying since last season and ultimately his ankle will decide.'

The press conference was also dominated by questions about the summer transfer window, with the head coach being clear about his position: 'The market doesn't keep me awake at night. We won't sign players just for the sake of signing them, nor will we bring in temporary fixes. It's clear that if we can improve what we have in midfield or at left-back, we'll bring someone in.'
