Léo Baptistão: We must show that we want to stay up in Primera División

The UD Almería centre-forward assures on UDA Radio ahead of Sunday's match against Girona FC that they are serious and focused although they are going to have bad times as it is a very difficult pitch to win

Léo Baptistão has spoken on the Club's official radio station, UDA Radio, to look ahead to the UD Almería vs Girona FC match that will be played this Sunday. The Catalans are current LaLiga EA Sports runners-up and regarding this weekend's encounter, the striker has stated: 'There's no better place to start from scratch to score points' although he emphasises: 'It'll be complicated. It's a team that's playing brilliantly, they're great players and it's a very difficult pitch to win.'

'We're going to have bad times, but we have to hold on, remain well organised, keep the ball and when we don't have it try to enjoy without it. It's been a very intense week and we're all serious and focused,' the Brazilian explained.

Regarding the arrival of new coach Gaizka Garitano, the Santos-born said: 'The change of head coach has given us a boost as he's insisting a lot on sticking together and knowing how to play without the ball; we're being very demanding with ourselves in training.'

About the gap between Girona FC and UD Almería in the table, the 33-year-old pointed out: 'The table isn't everything, we already saw it last year, we have to demonstrate that we want to stay up in the Primera Division. We must score points away from home, because it'll be essential for the team in order to continue growing.'
