Gaizka Garitano: "We did what we had to do to win"

The UD Almería head coach regretted at the post-Betis press conference that 'his players have created chances and have dominated their opponents, but a victory has escaped them again.' He says that this goalless draw has the taste of a defeat

UD Almería head coach Gaizka Garitano unpacked his post-Betis thoughts at the press conference and looked frustrated: 'It seems impossible to win a game, we did create many chances, but we haven't been successful. This goalless draw has the taste of a defeat.'

Despite UD Almería are in a worrying position, the team has improved their football game, although they have not obtained three points at once yet, which is what they truly need. 'The team improves more every day and against Betis, we've done what had to be done to win... create chances and dominate them. Sooner or later, we'll win, but today we've lost a great opportunity,' Mr Garitano stated:

To conclude, the Basque Country native reflected: 'We went into this fixture after playing two good games, we're on an upward trend and we deserved those three points. The way forward is this, it's clear.'
