Tactical training at the double at Juegos Mediterraneos

The Rojiblancos practise tactical drills on Wednesday evening. Training has been scheduled for 9:30 a.m. on Thursday.

The Almería players are stepping it up a gear. The squad participated in an evening training this Wednesday in which they worked on different aspects to continue strengthening their preparation and improving their performance on the pitch.

After such a long gap without competitive action, it is of the utmost importance that players focus mainly on preseason fitness regime to get themselves ready to play. However, now it is time to turn their attention to tactical training. In fact, the head coach, José María Gutiérrez, conducted drills in order to teach his players how to act in different scenarios thinking about the Segunda Division resumption; conditioning drills related to position specific and positional play, preparing players for set-pieces, passing and receiving the ball and so on.

The two groups of footballers exercised at different times and in different settings; the first one started at 6 p.m. at the Anexo, while the second one did so at 7.30 p.m. at the Juegos Mediterraneos Stadium. Both sessions lasted around an hour and a half.

This Thursday, there will be one more practice scheduled for 9:30 a.m. at the Anexo. The training ground will be divided into two halves considering that the groups cannot interact with each other until the next phase, in which players could train all together.
