Striker Sadiq Umar transferred to Real Sociedad

After the agreement reached between the parties, the Nigerian has already completed his medical and has signed his new deal with the San Sebastian-based club

UD Almería striker Sadiq Umar has been transferred to San Sebastian-based team Real Sociedad and therefore, he has already joined his new team-mates in training this Thursday. In fact, the 25-year-old travelled by private plane in the morning, underwent his medical and signed his new contract.

Sadiq Umar has been a player of the utmost importance for UD Almería. Over the course of the last two seasons that he has dressed as a Rojiblanco, the Nigerian became the top scorer. During the 2020/21 campaign, he scored 22 goals (20 in the League and 2 in the Spanish Cup), while in the 2021/22 season, 19 goals (18 in LaLiga Santander and 1 in the Copa del Rey) in addition to producing 12 superb assists. In the current campaign, competing in the Spanish Primera Division, he netted twice in three games against Elche CF and Sevilla FC.
