3 UD Almería players called up for international duty

The 'FIFA Virus' hits again as Soko, Perovic and Dzodic head off for national team duty

UD Almería will be without 3 key players for their upcoming Matchday 4 fixture against Racing Santander due to international call-ups. The trio of Soko, Perovic and Dzodic will miss the league encounter as they head off to represent their respective home countries during the first international break of the 2025/26 season.

UD Almería forward Soko has been called up to Cameroon’s senior squad for 2026 World Cup qualifiers. The striker will feature in matches against Swaziland on 4 September and Cape Verde on 9 September.

Meanwhile, winger Perovic joins Montenegro’s U21 side for two crucial qualifiers in the lead-up to the U21 European Championship. His team will face Italy on 5 September and Sweden on 9 September.

Defender Stefan Dzodic will also be away, representing Serbia U21 in a friendly against France on 8 September.

Additionally, UD Almería 'B' player Marciano will be with Guinea-Bissau and U19s 'A' defender Ramón Martos will join Ireland U17 for their international fixtures.
