This Sunday (KO 3:30pm Spanish Time) a European classic will be played on French soil, while on the last day of the training camp in Marbella, another friendly will be played against the team from Algeciras city
Two more opponents join UD Almería's roadmap in their summer preparation path; This Sunday (KO 3:30pm Spanish Time) SL Benfica will play against the Rojiblancos, while on 1st August (KO 9:30am Spanish Time) the Rojiblancos will face Algeciras CF to close out the training camp in Marbella.
In addition, this Saturday the friendly opener will be played against next season's rivals Granada CF in Motril (7:30pm Spanish Time).
SL BENFICA
The Portuguese Primeira Liga side will be the Indálicos' second pre-season friendly that will be played right after the off-season opener against Granada CF this Saturday in Motril. The Rojiblancos will finish an absolutely demanding week in style. Head coach Rubi is making the most of each training session to be the best possible football version and of course, this second week of preparations could not have been of a higher level.
The friendly match will be played this Sunday, 21st July (KO 3:30pm Spanish Time) on French soil, in Thonon-les-Bains, at the Stade Joseph-Moynat Stadium, an alpine town in Haute-Savoie very close to Switzerland. It will be the second historic match against the Lusitanian side since in 2021, they already met during that summer, in which Rubi also led UD Almería. SL Benfica have finished the championship in second position and will compete in the Champions League, so UD Almería will face a classy rival.
ALGECIRAS CF
Another officially confirmed match is the one against Algeciras CF, who currently play in Spanish third-tier Primera RFEF, on 1st August at 9:30am (Spanish Time), on the La Quinta ground, very close to the Marbella Football Center. The Andalusian encounter will coincide with the return trip to Almería city after the 10-day boot camp on Marbella soil. The Algeciras outfit finished last season in the middle of the table in Group 2 of the Primera RFEF tier. In this way, two new teams are added to the Rojiblancos' preparations.
The Andalusian Club will announce more matches as soon as they are officially scheduled.
