Baptistão: 'If we want our third straight win, we’ll have to give it everything'

The UD Almería forward praises RC Celta Fortuna: 'They run a lot and play brilliant football'. The co-captain says he feels 'like a youngster just starting out'

Léo Baptistão is back, in every sense of the word. The UD Almería forward has experienced countless situations throughout his football career and knows what needs to be done to achieve the objective. He has also returned to the starting XI, having started the last few matches.

The UD Almería co-captain analysed the upcoming match against RC Celta Fortuna in the following terms: 'We’ll have to be extremely focused because they’re young players who run a lot and play brilliant football. We’ll have to bring maximum intensity if we want to beat them. I’ve watched them in action and they play really well.'

The Brazilian footballer also highlighted the victory over Córdoba CF: 'We’re happy with the 2 consecutive wins we’ve achieved because I know how difficult it is. It was a challenge after 2 straight defeats. Personally, I feel fresh and very eager to help the team. We must improve our away results compared to last year.'

After a disrupted pre-season, Léo is more motivated than ever: 'I’m in the best moment of my football career. I had to take a short break because of the rib injury I suffered and I waited for my opportunity. I reckon I’ve made the most of it. Everyone wants to play, but what matters most isn't who plays; it’s that the team win.'

With a big smile on his face, but speaking seriously, Baptistão said:'I feel like a youngster who’s just starting out.'
