Shooting and defending crosses at UD Almeria training base

Crossing drills were the main focus in training. The squad put in the graft under Rubi's command who wants his players to grasp key concepts

UD Almería continue to take advantage of this long training week without LaLiga action action and this Wednesday, head coach Rubi has coached his players again after his attendance at the coaches' meeting organised by the Spanish Football Federation held in Madrid last Tuesday. This Wednesday, the gaffer insisted on crossing, shooting and defending effectively. Rubi has conducted several drills to reach the goal with full focus on crossing from wide positions with the purpose of improving the players' defending and attacking skills.

Games on reduced-size pitches were also played during the morning session in which the Rojiblancos' head coach counted on 16 outfield players including the goalkeepers but without the internationals who have been called up to their national teams. De la Hoz, Baptistão and Melero exercised on the sidelines involved in tailored work-outs while Sousa and Pozo continued their training at the Stadium's gym.

The second football practice of the week has been accomplished and still, until Matchday 7 comes, there are a few training sessions ahead to grasp game concepts. The squad are taking part in another session at 10am this Thursday on the Anexo training pitch while on Friday, the session will be delivered behind closed doors.
