Sergio Arribas and Thalys are the two main new faces in the UD Almería squad for Saturday’s match against Córdoba CF. The Rojiblancos will take on the Cordobesistas at 9pm (Spanish Time) at the Bahrain Victorious Nuevo Arcángel Stadium.

The Madrid-born midfielder has recovered from the ankle problem that kept him out of 3 of UD Almería’s first 4 matches. Arribas started the opening league fixture against CD Eldense.

Meanwhile, Brazilian forward Thalys makes his first appearance in the squad this season after completing his four-match suspension, imposed following his sending-off in last season’s promotion play-off final.

The only absentee is Gui Guedes, who remains in the recovery process after undergoing surgery a few weeks ago for a meniscus injury.

The squad completed their final training session on Friday morning behind closed doors at the UD Almería Stadium before travelling by road to Córdoba at 5pm (Spanish Time).

Head coach Xavier García Pimienta has called up all 24 available players, meaning one will have to be left out at the last minute.
