Sergio Arribas: "We have 8 games left and we're going to give it our all"

The UD Almería attacking midfielder has chatted to the Club's official media and has highlighted that the team is going to fight until the end 'out of respect for the fans and the Club'

UD Almería attacking midfielder Sergio Arribas chatted to the Club's official media to assess the season. 'On an individual level I've felt very good in the top division, from the first day my team-mates and the fans welcomed me warmly, but I still have the regret of not being able to give more to finish higher collectively. I'm going to continue giving it my all,' he explained.

Regarding the team's campaign, the 22-year-old stated: 'It's being hard for everyone, but I'm sure that it'll make us stronger.' The Reale Arena, the next stadium that UD Almería will visit, is a special venue for Arribas and that is where he played, for the first time for Real Madrid CF, which is why the also right/left winger highlighted the following: 'I have fond memories from that pitch in 2020, when I made my debut under Zidane besides, last year I played my last game there with Real Madrid CF.'

Regarding next opponents Real Sociedad, the Madrid-born clarified that they are a 'very solid team both in defence and attack' but he recalled the match at the Power Horse Stadium in the first half of the season and stated with confidence: 'Here at home, we faced them bravely, if we manage to do the same this weekend, we'll surely be able to get points.'

Regarding the arrival of the new head coach, Sergio Arribas stated that when Pepe Mel came, 'We played with a different style as it  could be seen in Las Palmas. The week of the game against CA Osasuna, we prepared very well, but everything went downhill in the first ten minutes.'

The Rojiblanco, to conclude his interview for the Club's official media, stated: 'It's been a very strange season where we've been close to winning many very difficult games. We're professionals, we have to respect this Club and the fans who come to support us, we have 8 games left and we're going to give it our all.'
