Edgar: 'We feel that we're well prepared for what is coming'
The UD Almería right-back does not hesitate to state on UDA Radio: 'We're a team able to earn promotion, but we must prove it. We are eager to return to the place the Club deserves. The pre-season vibes are good.'
UD Almería right-back Edgar González has caught up with the Club's official radio station UDA Radio and has not hesitated to state: 'We feel that we're well prepared for what's coming to us,' which is nothing else that a 'very demanding and hard season.' As he argues in this regard, 'several of my team-mates and I have played in the second division, a very competitive tier in which half of the teams aspire to move up and in which anyone can beat you.'
The versatile footballer made it clear: 'We're a team able to earn promotion but we must show it in every game by working hard and starting the games on the attack to get the three points.' On the other hand, he stressed: 'The pre-season vibes are good. I reckon we're on the right track and with a positive mentality to return to the place the Club deserves. It's what we all want.'
The Catalan player explained that the preparation period they are in 'is being demanding and long but the legs are already feeling the work out in. We arrived well mentally and physically speaking. The truth is that we really want to start to compete and above all to win.'
Edgar also spoke about this Thursday's international friendly against Al-Nassr FC: 'It'll be exciting because they're very important opponents, although it's still another off-season test. These matches are a training session that we add to the work we do. It's true that you compete, which is important, but you continue testing thinking about the season. Many times you don't play these games like in the league because you accumulate a lot of workload.'
