UD Almería Women set for second consecutive week without action

The UDA girls have no fixture this weekend due to a scheduled bye in Group IX of the Women’s Tercera Federación

After last weekend’s postponement due to adverse weather conditions and now with a scheduled rest week in Group IX of the Women’s Tercera FederaciónUD Almería Women will go a second consecutive week without competitive action. This is a division that already experiences frequent interruptions due to the limited number of teams across its 18 groups. In Almería’s group, for instance, only 12 clubs are competing.

The Indálicas will return to action next week with an away trip to Málaga CF 'B' Women on Matchday 17. Meanwhile, their Matchday 16 fixture, which was postponed due to bad weather, is still awaiting a new date. In that match, UD Almería Women were set to host CD PFC Málaga, currently 5th in the standings.

UD Almería Women remain top of the table, holding a 9-point advantage over second-placed Arenas de Armilla CyD. They also boast a stronger record than the pacesetters of the other Andalusian group, meaning that if they maintain their current form through the end of the regular season, UD Almería Women will secure a place in the promotion play-offs. For now, however, the girls team will take advantage of a weekend of rest.
