Samú Costa beats Ramazani in the Euro U21
While Portugal U21 qualify for the quarter-finals, Belgium U21 exit the European competition. Both players were second-half starters in the last Group A game
UD Almería internationals Samú Costa and Largie Ramazani have met this Tuesday on the last Matchday within the group stage of the Eurocopa U21 that takes place in Romania and Georgia. Their national country squads were battling it out in a bid to progress to quarter-finals and Portugal U21 beat Belgium U21 2-1, who were eliminated from the European tournament after this defeat.
As a result, Samú Costa is still in contention in the competition while Ramazani can begin his holidays, which he has not yet enjoyed since as soon as the clash against RCD Espanyol de Barcelona was over, the Belgian had to join up with his national team. The two UD Almería players started, being subbed in the second half: the Belgian came on inside 60 minutes, and the Lusitanian did so in the 78th minute.
Ramazani operated as a left-winger and did not manage to score as his team did no reach the final third that much. On the contrary, Samú Costa was one of the standout performers of his team as he put in a great defensive and attacking display being an all-rounder on the pitch.
