Samú Costa: ‘I’ve set my mind on moving up to Primera with Almería’
The Portuguese stresses that he feels very happy and excited about his stay as a UD Almeria player
‘I’m very happy and excited to be here another year. I’ve set my mind on helping my team-mates and moving up to Primera with UD Almería,’ stressed Samú Costa. The midfielder has just become a UD Almeria after the Club activated the option to buy clause on the Lusitanian.
The 20-year-old footballer had a friendly chat with the Club’s official media and stressed ‘I feel very grateful for the trust they’ve placed in me so I want to put in a great performance.’
Samú Costa does not hesitate to say ‘I’ll be better than last season because I know more about this difficult league. I’ve grown in the team and I’ve also learned how to improve my attacking skills although I’ll continue to play with the same intensity because it’s my style.’ The Portuguese added ‘the coach is giving me a lot of confidence. He tells me that I can become a leader and I intend to help my team-mates at the moment, especially the newcomers.’
The UD Almería midfielder acknowledged ‘We’re working hard in this pre-season, but it’s what we have to do to go into the league in the best possible shape. Important games are now coming to continue with our preparation. Everything is focused on the league.’
