UD Almeria striker Sadiq Umar has won the LaLiga SmartBank player of the month award for February. The Nigerian has emerged winner from a shortlist that also included SD Huesca midfielder Seoane and SD Eibar winger José Corpas.
It is the second award for Sadiq, who was also named best player in January last season. The 25-year-old centre-forward receives the award in the early stages of the match against CD Lugo at Juegos Mediterraneos this Saturday.
Sadiq scored 5 goals in 4 games, supplied a superb assist and was responsible for two penalties awarded to UD Almeria. He has been a key player in the victories achieved by UD Almería.
