Sadiq: ‘We’re ready to go to Cartagena and bag the three points’

The Nigerian striker states he has very good vibes about the upcoming 2021/22 season

The Nigerian footballer underlines ‘we’re ready to start the league. We’ve done a very hard job and we’ve played the friendly matches that we needed to prepare ourselves against competitive rivals. The pre-season gave us very good vibes.’

Last 2020/21 season, Sadiq scored 22 goals -20 goals in LaLiga SmartBank and 2 more in the Spanish Cup Copa del Rey. When the 24-year-old player was asked if his goal tally was a big responsibility before the upcoming league, he replied ‘it was a great achievement and a relevant individual progression, but my goal above anything else was to win promotion. We’re going to work hard to try again and get it.’

Much has been said about his possible departure from UD Almería. Whit regard to this topic, Sadiq made it clear: ‘We have to focus on the present. I'm here. I have a contract and I'm going to play for UD Almería.’ As for the new summer signings, he stressed ‘they’ve got quality, they’re integrated and they’ll help us a lot to be able to achieve our objective.’
