Rubi: ‘We’ve been working to obtain another result’

The UD Almeria head coach regrets the chances missed by his team and highlights: ‘We're still at the top and we're still in the fight’

Rubi pointed out in the press room after the game against SD Eibar ‘a bad UD Almería squad hasn't been seen.’ That assessment was explained during his post-match presser ‘the team has done a good job to have another result.’ At the same time he regretted the missed chances and the mistakes that gifted goals to the rivals from the Basque Country.

As for the downside…the Rojiblancos’ head coach stressed that it is important to ‘turn the current situation around’ in which the Indalicos are conceding goals early, since ‘1-0 marks a lot of matches.’

The Catalan head coach with more than enough experience in the Spanish Segunda Division, was not worried about moving down to second place, and therefore he stressed: ‘We’re at the top and we continue in the fight one hundred percent.’ In addition, regarding the injury latest, Rubi announced ‘better news’, such as Juan Villar’s comeback, the return of Sadiq and the fact that Lazo, Carriço and Sousa are about to recover from their injuries.

Rubi also shared his thoughts that UD Almería are going to ‘lose very few games at home’ from now on due to the game they are displaying. For this reason, he wanted to send a message to their supporters: ‘The fans, who have been amazing today, know what’s happened this month and that is why they are by our side, so I’d like to tell them that the players aren’t going to drop the ball to make them happy. The dressing room is strong and united.’
