Rubi: 'We're struggling to score goals, but we have to keep on trying'

The UD Almería head coach expressed his satisfaction with the dedication of his players: 'They've given their all until the end'

After suffering a narrow defeat to the Mallorcan team, Rubi shared his post-game thoughts and as soon as he sat down he said the following: 'first, I want to congratulate RCD Mallorca on their victory.' Later, the UD Almería head coach highlighted that his team might be in bad form when it comes down to scoring: 'The reality is that we're struggling to score goals, but we have to keep on trying, I've noticed full involvement and we deserved more.' What his side lacks is to be more effective when shooting, 'It's true that today we've created chances, but without scoring,' commented Rubi.

The Vilassar de Mar native also stressed: 'The new ones and some other footballers still have a long way to go to get into the team dynamics.' The gaffer made it clear from the beginning: 'We had started within a nice atmosphere and a favourable situation that has now become more complicated, but we're where we expected to be, fighting at towards the bottom of the table.'

The Rojiblancos' head coach ended his speech referring to his hard-working players: 'The squad isn't radically affected, we just need to work and work.'
