Rubi: ‘The second half has been amazing from start to finish’

The head coach speaks of ‘strong connection’ with the UD Almeria fans so that all together contribute to the 3-0 victory against SD Ponferradina

Rubi gave his first impressions after the home game played against SD Ponferradina and recognised that it was ‘a bit’ hard for his team to take control in the first half despite having gone ahead. The UD Almería head coach stressed the key to being able to overcome their opponents with the score of 3-0: ‘The second half has been amazing from start to finish with those starters and those who have started from the bench, who have helped a lot.’

The convincing 3-0 victory was widely celebrated at the Mediterraneo, above all, because as the gaffer stated, they highly value each triumph due to the difficulty of the second tier. The head coach had an idea in mind and shared it with the media: ‘Today is one of those days when I try to avoid feeling euphoria because we have to start preparing for Saturday's fixture, since we've had two days less than our next rivals to prepare.’ In addition, Rubi focused on the fact that, although what happens on Saturday ‘won’t prove decisive,’ it can be a big boost for the Indalicos.

There was one fact that made Joan Fracesc Ferrer Sicilia ‘Rubi’ smile: ‘the connection with the fans is really strong,’ and therefore, the Catalan explained: ‘It's wonderful to be in the dugout and see the fans. Hopefully everything can end as we deserve and they can enjoy everything this year.’
