Rubi shows the right path to get back to winning ways

The head coach found more time to explain his ideas to the Rojiblancos. This Wednesday, training session behind closed doors

UD Almería continue gearing up for Friday’s game against CD Tenerife at the Heliodoro Rodríguez López Stadium League. The Rojiblancos have the firm intention of getting back to winning ways as the team have not won since they beat Malaga CF on 30 March. They will be travelling to the island of Tenerife on the back of two defeats and three draws.

The newly appointed head coach Rubi found more time to work with his players and explain his ideas what the philosophy for games and training will be in order to improve the team's performance, and thus achieve a new victory to remain third in the table. The Rojiblancos are aware of the great difficulties that they will encounter in Tenerife against adversaries who are eager to make sure they stay up by reaching 50 points.

The training sessions conducted by the Catalan are being really intense. Besides the practice and tactical drills on the pitch, there are pep talks and team sessions being held to show the team video analysis of game performance, discussing offensive and defensive actions.

This Tuesday, Iván Balliu joined his team-mates in training for a while, while Samú managed to complete some exercises with the ball. The availability of both players will depend on their recovery progress made in the next few hours. This Wednesday and Thursday, UD Almería train behind closed doors at Juegos Mediterráneos.
