Rubi: ‘Football is taking away a lot from us despite our merits’

The UD Almeria head coach points out that UD Almería cannot complain anymore and must think about the clash against CD Tenerife

‘Football is taking away a lot from us despite our merits,’ said Rubi at the press room of Juegos Mediterráneos Stadium as he shared his post-game thoughts after the UD Almería vs CD Lugo draw (3-3). The UD Almeria head coach pointed out the importance of switching their attention to the clash against islanders CD Tenerife to get back to winning ways. ‘We can't keep complaining,’ stated the gaffer.

The Catalan stressed ‘we have to put up with this moment,’ in which the results could have been better and therefore, he justified it by sharing his feeling that the Indálicos did not play a bad game in his humble opinion. ‘We wanted the three points, we’ve earned just one, we’ve merited more…the result has been a draw though,’ explained the head coach.

Joan Frances Ferrer Sicilia ‘Rubi’ gave his thoughts on the game and explained that CD Lugo ‘are a team that are used to living games dangerously,’ emphasising their ‘tremendous effectiveness’ as they managed to equalise up to three times, which led him to underline: ‘The degree of efficiency means a lot in this sport.’ Nonetheless, the head coach finished the presser with the good feeling that UD Almería had ‘tried until the end.’
