Rousing cheers from UD Almería crowd at El Rubial Stadium
Around 500 UD Almeria fans showed their enthusiastic support to the Rojiblancos in the Copa del Rey first-round tie
The Rojiblancos got rousing cheers from the UD Almeria crowd at El Rubial Stadium in Águilas. In fact, around 500 UD Almeria supporters gathered in the Murcia-based town, who did not stop cheering on their team.
Although about 200 seats were sold at the UD Almería office, there were many fans who bought their tickets at the Aguileño Stadium box office. Most of them came from different parts of the province of Almeria near Águilas such as Antas, Pulpí, Vera, Garrucha ... as they did not want to miss the Spanish Cup meeting.
At the conclusion of the encounter, the UD Almería players approached the stands occupied by the Rojiblancos fans so as to thank them for the strong support shown throughout the game. Head coach Rubi reflected on the Cup tie after the final whistle and also took the opportunity to thank both the Rojiblancos and the Aguileños fans warmly for their behaviour during the game as the two groups created an electric, friendly atmosphere at El Rubial Stadium.
