Rodrigo Ely forced off pitch over nasal fracture while De la Hoz sprains ankle

The centre-back had to be taken to a hospital while the midfielder left the stadium on crutches

UD Almería had no luck at all in Valladolid; quite the opposite because in addition to losing the game in stoppage time, there were also injuries to two players. Rodrigo Ely fractured his nasal septum while César de la Hoz sprained his ankle. The central defender hit an opponent when finishing off a corner-kick in one of the last plays of the match, and as soon as it finished, the Club's medical services had to go out on the pitch to stop the bleeding. After verifying the extent of the injury, he had to be taken to a hospital.

After midnight, Rodrigo Ely, who was accompanied by head of the Club's medical services Dr Diego Portugal, returned to the team's hotel. César de la Hoz was forced off the field injured in the 75th minute after taking a heavy knock to his right ankle. After a first check-up in the dressing room it was found that he had sprained his ankle. The player left the stadium on crutches. In the next few hours it will be necessary to check out how both players are doing their recovery time.

Eguaras and Centelles were absent in Valladolid as they also sprained their ankles, although the winger was also completing his second match suspension. Ahead there is a long week in which the availability of these players remains a doubt.
