Robertone will miss out against UD Ibiza while Rubi hopes to get players back
Eguaras, Chumi, Carriço, Lazo and Dyego Sousa remain a doubt ahead of the next home match
UD Almería trained as soon as they landed in Almeria after the game played against Real Oviedo in North Spain. It has been an active recovery session for the players who got the most minutes in action at the Carlos Tartiere Stadium and another football practice that was more intense for the others, but the training day helped the players react in the championship now that Rubi is expected to start counting on more troops to join the squad.
Sadiq is back and he played in the second half against Real Oviedo after playing for Nigeria in the Africa Cup of Nations. The Nigerian arrived in Almería last Friday afternoon to carry out a light training session and the next day he got on the plane. Looking ahead to Friday's home game against UD Ibiza, his situation will be very different.
UD Almería are having Monday off while on Tuesday, they resume training to prepare themselves ahead of the next match at home against the Ibicencos. Eguaras, Chumi, Carriço, Lazo and Dyego Sousa remain in doubt ahead of the next game. The first two were in Oviedo, but did not play; even this January’s signing had to stay at the hotel and did not play the game due given that his blood pressure was very low and that forced him to undergo medical tests in Asturias. The centre-back had stomachache.
Carriço, Lazo and Dyego Sousa are about to get back into training with the group after being given the all-clear to become available after several weeks out of action.
On the other hand, head coach Rubi will not be able to count on Lucas Robertone, who was shown his last yellow card of the season in Oviedo, and therefore, will have to serve a one-match ban.
