UD Almería looking to score more goals as visitors
The Rojiblancos train in the stadium to complete preparations ahead of Friday's visit to Elche CF. Despite they have scored two goals in the last four outings, only four points out of twelve possible were collected
UD Almería are now immersed in their preparation for Matchday 14 as they take on at Elche CF at the Martínez Valero stadium this Friday (KO 8:30pm Spanish Time). In fact, the Rojiblancos have already trained in the UD Almería Stadium to work on the different football tactics that they will present in this new league meeting.
The squad, in which everyone is available except Robertone, as is already known, trained this Wednesday in the Stadium and will meet there again this Thursday to complete the tactical and strategic details. On Friday, at 9:30am, the UD Almeria travelling squad will head to Elche by road.
UD Almería, as their head coach recognised in his last press conference on the eve of the postponed match against Córdoba CF, has improved in many aspects, although there are still others on which to continue insisting. The UD Almería team are in good shape, they are no longer the top scorer and has reduced its negative numbers in this section, although not as they would like, at the same time that in attack they're one of the best finishers due to the potential up front.
In their last four trips to the pitches of Levante, Oviedo, Zaragoza and Huesca, UD Almería have scored 8 goals; two in each of these matches, which as visitors is not bad at all; quite the opposite. They have gotten only four of the twelve points at stake: Three in Zaragoza, where they won, and one in Huesca, where they shared the spoils. These have been the last two outings.
At the Ciudad de Valencia and at the Carlos Tartiere they lost 4-2 and 3-2, respectively, sharing the spoils in both cases, 2-0 against. Improving these records in the form of points is the objective that has been in their minds during the last few match weeks, although this Friday they will face rivals who have not conceded in three consecutive games.
