René and the club reach an agreement to terminate the year remaining on his existing contract
The Cádiz-born player ends three seasons as a UD Almería goalkeeper
René, UD Almería goalkeeper, and the Rojiblanco club have reached a mutual agreement to terminate the year remaining on his existing contract. Thus, the Cadiz-born player’s time -three seasons- at UD Almeria comes to an end.
René Román arrived at UD Almería in the 2017/18 campaign on a two-year deal. At the end of the 2018/19 season, he extended his contract for two more years. In his first two campaigns at Almeria, he was a key player who fought to his strengths to escape the drop and remain in the second-tier of Spanish football. Last season, he was sent out on loan to Ponferradina during the winter transfer window.
He is currently taking part in the team’s training camp with the Almeria first-team in Marbella, where he was lined up in the friendlies against Espanyol and Cádiz. René has left the pre-season preparations in order to sign his contract termination.
