Ramazani: ‘I was looking forward to playing again and helping the team’

The Belgian player talks on UDA Radio about his reappearance after missing 7 fixtures due to a muscle injury

‘I was looking forward to playing again and being able to help the team,’ exclaimed Largie Ramazani when reflecting on the last game and his leveller against Real Valladolid CF after missing the previous 7 fixtures due to a muscle injury. The Belgian attacker was named in the teamsheet to take on UD Ibiza a week before, but did not play in the end. He came on in the second half against Pucela not only to shine but also inspire his team to a fantastic comeback victory after scoring the first of the three goals.

Ramazani acknowledged ‘we’re very happy about this positive run,’ although he pointed out ‘we have to stay on track to be able to achieve our objectives because there’s no other way than work.’ In addition, as he added ‘we cannot relax at any time or think that everything has already been done. LaLiga is really difficult and we have to go game by game, focusing only on the next one and winning it.’

The 20-year-old Rojiblanco made a great contribution against in-form Real Valladolid CF. On this matter, he said ‘I always want more and more. The fans were also spectacular during the game and gave me a lot of strength.’

Ramazani did not hesitate to take initiatives and assume responsibilities. When asked about it, he replied ‘I don't feel the pressure. Playing freely is the most important thing and the team helps me a lot with this. He has done it to return to the field sooner rather than later and it has also helped me to be able to become the best version of myself on the pitch.’

Largie Ramazani looked self-assured, sharp and fast on the ball at the Mediterraneo last Saturday. He indicated ‘every time I have the ball at my feet I feel happiness...why would you not feel happy with the fans chanting your name and cheering on the team or when you score a goal?. The truth is that I like to be happy on the field because playing football is what I love and it’s what I always want to do.’

Before picking up that unfortunate injury, the ton-up Belgian player commented that he was going to change his particular way of celebrating goals, but that was not the case. As he explained ‘it’s true that I haven’t kept my promise, but it was a super important goal, I returned from injury and the fans love it when I backflip... I just couldn’t fail them.’
