Ramazani and Juan Manuel Gutiérrez get minutes on the pitch playing for Almeria B

Both players scored and showed off their fancy footwork during a friendly played in Motril (Granada)

Largie Ramazani and Juan Manuel Gutiérrez got minutes on the pitch when they were lined up in UD Almería B team starting XI during a friendly match played in Motril. In point of fact, both players would end up taking the leading role when they found the net twice in their 3-2 defeat.

Although both players usually train with the first-team, the fact that they signed for the youth squad allowed the possibility of them boosting performance on the pitch joining the Tercera Division team. Not surprisingly, the Belgian winger has just recovered from a minor injury, while the Uruguayan arrived in Almería when the pre-season was almost over and has not had much time to adapt.

Since the friendly game began, both Ramazani and Juan Manuel Gutiérrez showed off their fancy footwork in an eye-catching display at the Escribano Castilla Stadium. With 5 minutes on the clock, Ramazani came up with a sensational individual play, dribbling past three opponents before beating the goalkeeper. He demonstrated why he is a keen dribbler on several occasions during the 85 minutes he was in action.

For his part, Gutiérrez also slammed in the second. The Uruguayan forward, who had already created some chances, advanced up to the near post after a cross from team-mate Fermín to get off the mark in Spain. The 18-year-old player, who participated for 76 minutes, showed great fluidity in his game, good positioning up front and was on the verge of pulling another one back.

There were some CF Motril coaching staff members representing the firs-team in the stands so as not to miss any detail of their players’ performance. Likewise, Fernando Santos, ‘Nandinho’, Almeria second-team head coach, spoke with them for a while prior to the pre-match warm-up.

The Almeria Academy players will say bye to their pre-season next Saturday in a last friendly against rivals CD El Ejido. It is worth highlighting that, like Ramazani and Juan Gutiérrez, Dani Albiar and Lluís, who also partake daily training with the senior team players competing in LaLiga SmartBank, have already played one game each with the youthful Rojiblancos during the pre-season so that they can gain experience and gear up for the league. The midfielder did so visiting FC Cubillas de Albolote, whereas the goalie was a starter in the neighbouring town of Águilas.
