Rafael Torres: "Our enthusiasm is tremendous; for us, this match will go down in history"

Barbastro is the third most populated city in the province of Huesca and the seventh of the Spanish region of Aragón. It is located very close to the Pyrenees and has around 20,000 inhabitants. UD Almería will play there the Spanish Cup second-round tie this Wednesday. UDA Radio has contacted the president of this club, Rafael Torres, who assured: 'Our enthusiasm is tremendous, we've been selling tickets, buying scarves and we are bubbling with excitement; UD Barbastro had never played against a Primera Division team.' 

'No one can't stop talking about the game in this city and our entire youth team is super excited to experience the game. They can't wait for UD Almería to come and for us, it's a historic event here,' Mr Torres explained. 

The Municipal Sports Field of Barbastro will host this Cup appointment. 'It will be sold out, we've already sold almost all the tickets. The motto in the dressing room is to enjoy this match, football is football and anything can happen, but UD Almería are the ones meant to win because they are three tiers above us. We're going to face them with humility, I do not want any bad-sounding word or dangerous tackles. I want all the people who come from Almería to say how good we've been in Barbastro,' he added.

Somontano is a town situated in the province of Huesca, very close to the Pyrenees. The temperature will be low at this time of the year, for this reason, the UD Barbastro President shared an anecdote about a situation that happened to him on the street: 'A fan told me that he hopes it'll be freezing on Wednesday because Almería are coming.' 

To conclude the interview offered to the Club's official radio, Mr Torres commented on his goal for this match: 'You'll be welcome here warmly and I want you to have a good impression of Barbastro, that is my main mission and the result, as they say in that song... I don't care.'
