Radovanovic back in group training
The Indálicos are training at the Anexo base and will train behind closed doors at the UD Almería Stadium starting on Thursday ahead of FC Cartagena's visit
UD Almería ramp up preparations for their home match against bottom-team FC Cartagena on Sunday at 9pm (Matchday 35). The training session, like Tuesday's, took place at the training base with Radovanovic back in the group. The Serbian centre-back was substituted due to discomfort in Granada and did not participate in the first football practice of the week.
Rubi has the same players available from the previous two weeks, as Baba, Rachad, and Chumi are still on the treatment table although the latter two are also doing some ball work on the pitch, albeit on the sidelines.
UD Almería host the bottom-team on Sunday and if the visitors don't score, they would automatically be relegated to the third-tier Primera RFEF. Depending on the results over the weekend, FC Cartagena could even play the match as a team from the formerly known Segunda Division 'B'.
For the Rojiblancos, the match is of utmost importance because they have no more room for error. Rubi stated on the eve of the match against Granada CF that if they don't win at the Nuevo Los Cármenes, UD Almería would be forced to win their next four matches against opponents from the bottom of the table. It's worth highlighting that UD Almería are out of the play-off spots, although they are only 1 point adrift.
