Radovanović: 'I didn't resign myself to accepting the injury, I refused, I didn't want to'

The UD Almería central defender has been on the treatment table for 6 weeks due to a muscle tear

UD Almería central defender Radovanović spoke to the Club's official radio to talk about his recovery from the injury that has kept him sidelined for more than a month and about his desire to return to the pitch: 'I've been on the treatment table for 6 weeks, but I'm already recovered and very happy because we've worked hard, we've had no rest, so I want to thank the medical team. It's difficult to be mentally strong, but my team-mates have helped me a lot to stay strong.'

The Rojiblanco centre-back has made his total commitment to the team clear in the time he has been at the Club. 'When I signed for UD Almería, I said in my official presentation that I was going to give everything and that's what I try at every moment, the injury was a complicated time and I thought that the season was already over for me, but thanks to the medical team we've shortened the deadlines. I didn't resign myself to accepting the injury, I flatly refused, I did not want to.'

Despite his extensive experience and his total dedication, the 30-year-old footballer assured: 'I don't consider myself a player who makes a difference. I simply try to give my very best and help with work. In the end, there are 11 players on the pitch, we all defend, we all attack and I'm one more.'

Regarding the next rivals Cádiz CF, Radovanović highlighted that he believes that for them 'the game is going to tougher, because unfortunately, we already knew our destiny. They've been fighting until the last game and psychologically, they're going to have it more difficult.'

To conclude his interview for UDA Radio, the Club's official radio station, the Serbian player highlighted: 'The pre-season is going to be very important. We have to take responsibility and commitment to try to earn promotion back to the top tier from the first Matchday. I'd be surprised if there were people who didn't think the same way, from day one we must work as hard as possible to achieve the objective.'
