Lázaro Vinicius: 'I want to apologise to the fans'

The UD Almería left-winger explains: 'There are times when (we) players aren't well, we feel a lot of tension, nerves, stress… I wasn't aware of what I did,' and he assures: 'This has been a learning experience for me.'

'I want to apologise to the fans,' said UD Almería left-winger Lázaro Vinicius sincerely and sadly as he confronted some fans in the stands who booed him off the pitch when he was subbed against Elche CF last Monday.

The Brazilian has been invited to the UDA Radio studios to explain that uncomfortable situation in the match against the Elicitanos: 'There are times when (we) players aren't well. We've got a lot of tension, nerves, stress... I wasn't aware of what I did to be honest.'

Lázaro seemed repentant. 'All this has been a learning experience for me and it will not happen again. Those who know me know that I'm a very calm person. I have great respect for the fans that have always supported me,' he explained. The forward, who has full confidence in his footballing skills and what he can contribute to the team, commented that he had a hard time these days and that it'd d been an unpleasant situation.

Now, the only thing the 22-year-old wants is to 'continue working, have a good mentality and fight alongside my team-mates to try to achieve the ultimate goal, which is earning promotion to the top flight.'
